the fiscal year, however, waa closed

A t Tuesday’s Election
Prospects for the Incorporation of
the Oreaon-Caltfornla Woolen Mills
within the next few weeks are bright,
according to A. J. Perklna, member
of the local chamber of commerce
committee, who waa In the city this
week from Portland. Stock subscrip­
tions hafe reached 9250.000 according
to the reports made by the promoters.
D. 8. Rhlel. William Blalkle, Glen
Hord and C. N. Coaeboom, compris­
ing the promotion group, held a meet­
ing In Mr. Perkins' office In Portland
Monday to perfect further plans. They
are still very confident of putting the
big enterprise over, and have Immedi­
ate plans for subscribing stock to the
amount of $276.000 that they may in­
corporate with 51 per cent of the

dent. have been working in Idaho and

field opposed with the aUU majority as against a favorable vota over Lane
county as a whole.
