Larimer were hostesses last Thursday afternoon at the former's home on Pifthand D streets for Mrs. J. J, Keeley -who with Mr. Keeley, plans to leave Springfield about September 1. M .Beebe and sons, enjoyed a picnic supper cooked out in the open, and "camped out" overnight in the grove hack ot the Springfield Flour mill Thursday even'ng. The party tlso had a camp fire breakfast the next morning. Mrs. Vina McLean and Mrs. Hannah Hill were hostesses to the Pine Needle club at a picnic held last Tuesday, In stead of Mrs. "Vina McPherson and Mrs. Hannah Hill as reported in Thurs ' day's News. But to our horror the man Niagara falls and Mr. Burke took the byH on a "shlng trip in Canada we could not get interested In the falls as we were so worried about Doris and Lyle. So we went back and took tho train for New York. As we passed by a little cottage, we saw two children looking mournfully out of the window . We at once recognized them as Doris and Lyle. We went and got a police and went to the house and got them first we had to buy them new clothes. We were glad to see them again. The next day we took the boat steamer call ed Olympic and went to Liverpool, and then to London. DOROTHY GIRARD 6 A Grade, Ago 12 -years, Springfield.
