And so, not knowing that the highways of this country, meaning Southern Oregon, were in the hands of a closed corporation, we unw itting ly made a usggestion. To set our contemporary straight, the suggestion advanced wa merely in the form of a suggestion. We were under the delusion that citizens still had some say in the matter of what happened to the roads. As yet we’ve seen no other definite p lin advanced for a four-lane route from Ashland to Medford, and we’re sure that the state high way department w-ould appreciate any suggestion, recommendations, or ideas anyone wished to offer. Then they’ll do whatever they think best. No matter what the Daily Twiddlings has offered in the way of suggestions or what we have offered w ill change the minds of the highway department officials. And we plan to keep making suggestions and offering ideas to anyone who w ill listen and on any subject we wish, including highways. * forces and or In time of war or national emergency.
