Another Parade Will Be Held LITHIANS TO PLAY MEDFORD AT 2:30 With a bang up ball game promised for Sunday between two traditional rivals, the first annual baseball day should be a success, according to Bert Miller, who has been sparkplugging the show. Medford, always a tough one, when playing Ashland, will meet the Lithians at 2:00 p.m. on Ful ler Field. Tickets, now on sale all over town, are going for 75c. The Lithians with 714 points, are standing In second place in league play. Grants Pass and the Cheney Studs are tied for first with 750 points. The Medford club Is in sixth place, but as Mil ler pointed out, traditionally the Medford team plays its best ball when playing Ashland. Among added attractions at the hall game Sunday will be the presentation of the Miss Ashland beauty contestants by Ed Sing- master, president of the Chamber of Commerce. Singmaster will in troduce Miss Marjorie Newton, who will represent the Soroptim- ist club; Miss Eugenia Moore, who represents the News Re view; Miss Allene Owens, who represents Ashland Lodge BPOE 944. Miss Jean Hartsock, who is sponsored by Fortmiller’s; Miss Ann Pirtle, who is Miss Busch Motor, Miss Lucille Hulander who represents Weitzels Depart ment store;; and Miss Willette Harndon, who is Miss Ashland Cabinet Works. The Ashland Riding Associa tion will ride patrol around the field during the game. First ball of the day will he thrown out by John Miljus, for mer Pittsburg Pirate, who is a former Ashland resident. Saturday another childrens pa rade will be held at 1:30 begin ning at *he public library and ending at the post office.
