of the 41st Division, has just re­
ceived the Bronze Star from
Major John J. Taggart, executive
officer, Separation Center, Fort
Lewis, Wash., for the rescue and
salvage of critical medical sup­
ples, as an American ship was
splitting in two at Milne Bay,
New Guinea. The 23-year-old
doughboy who was a constituent
of amphibious landing at Holland-
dia and Biak, as well, is the eld-

An impromptu Court of Honor
was held last Thursday evening,
June 28 at the Junior high school
cafeteria, with Scouts of Troop 12
and 14 being awarded numer­
