T he young folk s had gone to th e w oods and selected their tree and had se t it up in the room am idst other bright C hristm as decorations. Each tree w as c o v graduated from A shland high ered w ith w h ite cotton to g iv e school tw o years ago. T hey spent the appearance of sn ow -lad en trees. W hen the you n g folks had one year in w orking before go ing on to the u n iv ersity . They fin ish ed their w ork of decorating th ey retired to the F ellow sh ip have been very close friends dur ing all their high school days, but Room for a “m ixing" period and found that they could not m ajor th en refreshm ents w ere served. in their desired su b jects in the M iss M abel B oggs is president of sam e school, so had to sp lit up this group, and Mr. and Mrs. Joh n B illin a s are sponsors. T uesday m orning from the air raid siren, brought A shland resi dents out of a sound slum ber, (for m any of them , at least) w ith a w ondering if the tow n w as under going an air raid. It w as later e x plained that the w ires becam e crossed at the fire station , or a m ix u p in the buttons, or som e such th in g had been the cau se of the blast on the siren.
