several features given by school
children, Dr. Arthur Taylor spoke
on "Children of Democracy.** The

delegate to attend the P-TA con­

the fourth grade about the Neth­
erlands Tuesday. April 8.

brought some pretty pottery vases

in Holland several years ago. Tne
vases had pretty lady slippers in

ing and the boys and girls asked
her many questions.

Tuesday, April 8, Richard Ad­
ams came to the fourth grade
room. He came from Washington
school. The girls and boys like him
very much and hope he will like
Lincoln school.
In the science class, room six
has made a rock collection. They
are studying how rocks were
formed, how they were changed to
soil and how they got their shape.
It is a very interesting study Mr.
Coft in is the teaci.er.
Monday April 7. the girls of
room eight challenged the girls of
room six in a game of baseball.
Mary Atkins refereed the game.
The score was & to 4 in favor of
room six.
The Camp Fire girls heard a
talk given by the secretary of the
organization about the many dif­
ferent things that they could
make. She showed them many
things that had been made.
Room seven is making plaster
parts plaques of the state flowers
These plaques will be painted and
shellacked They studied about the
state flowers in science class.
Room seven is giving the chil­
dren of room two a surprise Eas­
ter party. They will hide baskets
of eg^s for each one The one who
finds his basket first will recenve
a gold egg and the one who finds
the most eggs will receive a silver

Thursday, April 3 for Mrs. Em­
ma Campbell. She was bom Sept-
14, 1868 in Hartville, O. and pass­
ed away at Ashland March 31.
She is survived by her husband,
L. W. Campbell, and five children:
Mrs. Fem McComb and Mrs. A.
M. Ramey, Portland; Rev. Paul
Campbell of Lynden, Wash.; Mrs.
F. M. Stratton, Weed, Calif, and
Evan Campbell of Marshfield. Her
son, Rev. Paul Campbell, officiated
at the services and interment was
in Mountain View cemetery.
