The evening was spent playing cards, with Mr. and Mrs Ed Dunn winning first prize and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crow consolation. Knox Buys Lakeshore Resort Near Florence leave for the resort in June fol lowing the close of school. ---- ,-- •------- • Subscribe for The Miner today. W F. Knox, former owner of the Knox Lumber company here, has purchased a well-known Hast ings lakeshore resort on Lake Woahnik and Highway 101 south of Florence. Ore, from Mr. and Mrs Scott Hastings, who owned and operated a service station in Ashland for a number of years. The resort is situated on a trout lake two miles by timberland and sand beaches from the ocean. On various sides, at close distances, are lakes and rivers well stocked ' with bass, perch, crappies and ocean fish.
