"Snow White and the Seven [ Dwarfs" will be shown in a pup- I pet show by the children of the intermediate department of the Lincoln school Friday, May 20, al the Varsity theater A matinee performance will be given for school children in the afternoon, between showings of the regular feature at the Varsity, and an other performance for adults will be presented in the evening The school children have con structed the puppets, properties and scenery under the direction of Miss Lucille Burtis of the Normal school art department The chil dren will operate the puppets dur ing the performances. Student teachers from the Nor mal school who have assisted are Ellen Watson. FINAL WEEKS TO BE BUSY ONES AT SONS Residents from other sections of the United States, many attracted by accounts of Oregon as an at tractive place in which to live and work, and others driven westward by economic forces, have added an estimated total gain of 2850 people to the population of Jackson coun ty from 1930 to Jan. 1, 1937, ac cording to a report, "Migration Into Oregon, 1930-'37," recently prepared by the state planning board. This net gain is the esti mated difference between persons coming into the county and those moving out. Natural increase, or excess of births over deaths, amounted to 750 persons during these seven years, making an estimated total population for the county on Jan. 1. 1937, of 36.903. This increase of 10 8 per cent of the 1930 popula tion compared with an increase of 61.4 per cent during the decade 1920-1930 All types of workers are includ ed in the list of occupations of these newcomers, with craftsmen and physical laborers leading. The majority of these Immigrants are in the most active age range. 20- 45 years.
