Friday, August 30, 1935 FOREST MEN TO GET NEW STYLE FIELD CLOTHES The forest ranger, a familiar fig ure to the millions of visitors to the natioiiul forests, 1s to have a new uniform Revised specifica tions for "field clothes" have just been Issued by the U 8 forest service The new uniforms supplnut the old forestry green outfit with stiff brim huts, no longer distinct ive of the service's field men, since similar types of uniform huve been widely adopted by other agencies The new clothes will be made of III fabric designated "If 8 forest ' rvice bronzi green heather Thia tough fnbric will be standard for all field uniforms, except those worn during the summer in the deep south, which lire to be made of "twill-green," a light weight cloth The new coat is a loosecut. sin gle-breasted, two-button style with leather buttons and bellows pock- cts The familiar pine tree badge appears on the lupcls.
