Holland Expands; ¡Two Buddies As Store And Site I Civilians Aim At Tailored To Need Army Commission Frank N. Linenberger, o f Scholls, and Robert R. Sanders, Route 1, Box 150A. Hillsboro, who had been buddies in civilian life, left Jan uary 4 on a high ioad to adventure in the khaki of army uniform. Both lads have the same ambition to win for themselves commissions in Uncle Sam's army. The two new recruits, who enter the air corps as privates, will be stationed at LaoklanU air base in San Antonio, Texas, for basic training. The announcement is made by corporal army and airforce re cruiter, Keith (V>w«l. whose field of influence is HflUboro and Bea verton. In all his 25 years in the feed business, Bob Holland has perhaps never enjoyed himself quite as much as he is now, in a new build ing and site which seem admirably tailored to the needs of his trade. The old establishment on Broad way, next to Walker’s Department store, seems dark and deserted now and the flow of feed, seed and related supply customers now find themselves comfortably accomo dated at the new location at the rear of the old IOOF hall. The showroom is about 40 by 40 and the feed room is approximate ly 40 by 115 feet. The large park ing area is sufficient to serve many cars and Bob hopes that part of it will be useful for long time parking patrons as well as the stop-pick up-and-go customers. The buildings themselves are modern and painted in a stand-out hue. All floors are concrete and there are concrete walks along the entire front. A new concrete building, smaller in size, is near by and part o f the same improve ment project. It houses the Bea verton Service company shop. Construction Is of pumice block, built under the watchful eye of Carl Olsen, Beaverton contractor. The old building on Broadway will probably be torn down, according to Holland. The same line of high quality hay, commercial feeds, seeds as well as dairy, poultry, cat and dog supplies and shrubberies and other nursery items will be continued in stock. As a hobby sideline, Holland intends to introduce an aquarium with a full supply of items to go in a well-dressed fish bowl. Prior to 1933, when he moved into the location on Broadway. Holland was in business with his parents as long as 25 years ago. From the day before Thanksgiving, he suffered a lingering attack of flu which put him out of running for almost a month. But his physical well-being and his spirits as well seem to have hit a high mark in the new estab lishment. It cost Christ His life to take your sins and die for you. God’s part was to give Christ. Christ’s part was to take your sins and die for you. Your part is to take your stand that Christ’s death for your sins cleared you with God. Now as saved, step ahead, looking utterly to Christ for new days, ways and appetites.
