BEAVERTON ENTERPRISE Friday, October 17, 1947 WEST SLOPE NEWS SON CELEBRATES On September 29 little Milton Cavanaugh celebrated his fourth birthday by having some of his little friends over for a birthday celebration. • * • TRIP TO LAKES Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sikes of Laurel wood Drive are back home after hav'ng enjoyed a three weeks’ motor trip that took them south to Crater Lake and then East as far as Lake Pendd’OReille in Idaho. • • • TWO LEAVE FOR BOSTON Mr. Sikes and Mr. Allen Arm field are leaving next week for Boston where they will attend conferences at the home office of the Rust Craft Publishers. Inc. PARENTS GO FISHING Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ca vanaugh and another couple left at 4:30 a. m. for salmon fish'ng on the Nehalem River. They also fished on the Wilson River on their way home. Over the week-end of October 4, Mr. Fred Cavanaugh and three of his friends went on a fishing trip on the Siletz River and came home with a twenty-eight pound salmon. • « * FLY TO MINNESOTA Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller flew to Rochester, Minn., where Mrs. Miller will undergo surgery at the Mayo Bros, clinic KERCHIEF SHOWER Mrs. John O. Holeman and Mrs. Arthur W. Hqlema^ entertained j at a luncheon and handkerchief shower at the home of the latter on Monday in honor of Mrs. Karl Hobson. The Hobsons, who live on Sheffman Way, nave sold their home and have moved to Pullman, Washington, where Mr. Hobson is a professor in the agri cultural school at Washington State College.
