Local Girls Presented In Renoux Revue Monday, June 9th, the Tam- iesie-Renoux Revue was staged at the Oriental Theatre in Portland. There was a huge crowd to wit ness the performance. Beaverton, as well as other cities was par ticipants well represented by town folk. The performance was one of splendor and perfect arrange ment. The costumes were lavish ly prepared and the timing and rythm of the performers was very good. Never before has a group with so many younger children shown cool headedness and perfect timing and rythm as this group. The training is due to the nev er tiring and ever helpful ad vice of their instructoress, Miss Renoux, who was a resident of Beaverton before moving to Portland and opening the studio there. While living here she had a dancing school. Mr. Tamiesie is the orchestra conductor for the Revue. His orchestra, except for a few have played together for 3 or 4 years and their ages range from 8 years to 17 years. The girls who performed that are our own local girls were Vanda Benson, Ray Lahman, Mary Lee Olson, Carolyn Sch- walter, Bonnie Boyd, race and Doris Abbott, Beverly Larson, Pa tricia Seidler and Anita Pienovi. The act that went over best, according to the reaction of the audience was when several girls came out with burlap sacks over waist and head with suit coat covering the rest of body to mid point of ankles and knees. When they danced you couldn’t tell what was happening. It was very amusing to watch it, al though one girl just about lost her coat. The finale was a rendition of the Gay 90’s in the park. It was a clever arrangement. The or chestra closed the program by playing very beautiful number. The troupe presented to their instructoress a l>eautiful bouquet of roses for her kindess and loy alty to them. This group and their instruc- ters should be congratulated on their splendid showmanship. The group showed the people that by working together, no matter what age, you can get a feeling of companionship that will never be surpassed. Because in •.*"*»r t dance well you have to be a companion to your fellow per formers. So it’s hats off and good luck in the future to the Ta micsie Renox Revue.
