Mr. and Mrs. Green and family, who have lived for the past few years on what is known as the Jen sen place, moved recently to Garden Home. Mrs. Helen Rickey o f Portland spent the week end at the home of her sister, Mrs. Rose Jordan. LaVerne Gilson and family vis it ed Sunday at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Keane who for merly lived in this community dro’ ’e through here Sunday and visited for a few minutes with an old neighbor This community was alarmed last Wednesday when fire broke out in the brooder house on the B. Sob diskis place and burned the building with four hundred chicks. The Beav erton fire company responded to a call and saved the neighborhood as a number of residences are nearby. Mr. j McDonald of Portland owns the place Mr. and Mrs. Sam 1C. Fetters were given a farewell party In t.he dining room at the Masonic Temple Monday evening. Guests included past ma trons and past patrons, wives and husbands of the Eastern Star, Mi- Fetters being the junior past patron. A delicious lunch o f cake, samlwictf's. pickles and cof fee was served. Mr. and Mrs. F et ters were presented with a set of silver salad forks. Their departure is much regretted by their many friends in this vicinity. Mr. Fetters had charge of the Imlay Feed store at Aloha for the past six yeurs. They left for Mayville, North Da kota, where they will make their home. This farewell party was ar ranged by Mesdames F. V. Rose baugn, V. A.
