July 13, 1922 VOL. i X I AN IDEAL HOTEL Auto Bums Bert Shimmin bad tough luck on his return trip from Portland late Friday night. His big “ Commonwealth” car evidently sprung a gas leak. Bert stopped the car ju st north of Canby to find the trouble and as he started to raise the hood, the whole car seemed to explode into flames. I t was a total loss, partly covered by insurance. Mr. Shimmin was lucky to get out unhurt. Mrs. Otis Morris and Helena went to Portland Monday. In a few days Mr. Morris will join them and all go to the coast for a month. .
