old and has served the railroad com­
pany at their Aurora station for 38 yrs.

Several friends and neighbors gath­
ered at the home of P. Graves, on R. 1,
yesterday, to celebrate thp golden
wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Graves.
Aurora must have more dwellings,
and haye them now. Families inquir­
ing every day for a place to live.
We all realize the need, and advanta­
ges and opportunities to he ours, if
Aurora will secure a a fruit and vege­
table cannery. All are willing, all in
favor, then why not get together and
talk things over.

The program committee o f the Au­
rora Women’s club consisting 'o f Mrs.
Gordon Watt, chairman; Mrs. J. W.
Sadler and Mrs. E. G. Robinson, assist­
ed by the president, Mrs. Orelia Pow­
ers, entertained with a delightful lun­
cheon at the home of Mrs. Sadler, for
members of the club and many out of
town gtests. The rooms were beauti­
fully decorated with autumn leaves
and flowers. Miss Cornelia Marvin,
state librarian, was honor guest, She
gave an interesting talk on the duties
and obligations of the club members in
their various lines of work and also
urged their entrance, study and com­
plete understanding of polotics, partic­
ularly in the matter of disarmament
and a league of nations. After the
luncheon Mrs. Frank Miller gave a
descriptive musical number, “ A Japan­
ese Sunset.”

their children clear to Woodburn ¡to j
school. It would be supposed of course
that 5 or 6 districts here would build a
Union High School, but we hear that
some oppose it. It suits us if it suits all.
