AURORA YOUNG MAN
One o f the prettiest weddings of
the week was at the Catholic church
at Canby Tuesday morning, last week,
when Miss Annie B. Geiger, .of Scap-
pose, Oregon, and Mr. Alfred J.
Campau, o f Aurora, were united in
marriage by Rev. Jonas, pastor.
The bride was handsomely gowned
in white satin, and her tulle veil was
held in place by a dainty wreath of
orange blossoms.
She carried a
shower boquet o f Bride’s roses.
The bride’s maid was Miss J. Beno,
o f Se appose, and the m aid-of honor
was Miss Lillian Fisher, the former
gowned in pink and Miss Fisher in
blue. They carried carnations.

Fillowing the marriage ceremony
the young couple left for a brief
honeymoon, and will be at home to
their friends at their home near Auro­
ra, where the bridegroom is engaged
in farming.
-Before their departure a luncheon
was served at the home o f Mr. and
Mrs. J. F. Campau in their honor.
House Destroyed By Fire
One of the Gus Arndt houses in the
north part of town burned to the
ground Monday afternoon at 4 o’ clock.
The fire started from a blaze left in the
fire place dpring Mr. Arndt’s absence.
Nothing wak'saved. The loss is esti­
mated at about $2000 with no insur­
ance.
Mrs. White Improving
Mrs. G. P. H. S, White," formerly of
this place,but now living at Salem,who
recently suffered a stroke o f paralysis
is reported to be improving quite satis­
factorily. Mrs,Fred Keil, Mrs. White’s
mother, who went to Salem to see her
daughter is now home again. Other
members of the family have been mak­
ing freguent trips to see Mrs. White.
