(Jr. Greelee, dentist, is located over the
Sumpter Drug company store.
Seymour H. Hell, of land and "addi
tion" fame, returned to Sumpter Sunday.
H. T. Hendryx, a mining and real es
tate man from Baker City, Is in the city
and may decide to locate.
C. I.. Mellqnlst, the La Grande liquor
man and oA'iierof the Mint saloon here,
was .1 visitor last week.
J. 13. Kelt, of Dallas, Oregon, has come
here to reside, taking a position with M.
R. Mercer as prescription druggist.
A meeting of members of the Chemi
cal Engine company of the Sumpter Pirc
department is called for tomorrow night at
the city hall.
T. R. Necdham, an old newspaper edi
tor and former publisher of the Alaska
Searchlight at Juneau, is here to acquaint
himself with the district.
The Misses l.utle and Flossie l:arns
worth, of Heppner, were the guests of
Postmaster Kaliler ana wife for a week,
returning home last Thursday.
A. Walker, a former broker of Repub
lic, Washington, has come here to go Into
business. He says there will be a mighty
rush Iroin that district to Sumpter this
spring.
N. T. Collet), a successful and active
operator in Sumpter real estate, has given
up a good position as traveler for a Port
land house, and will make this his home
in future.
The A. C. Shaw company saw mill on
the Tictjcii tract, west ol town, Is rapidly

The production of The Noble Outcast
on Friday evening next for the benefit of
the hospital promises to be a social and
financial success. The management have
decided to reserve the first four rows of
seats without further charge than the 75
cent price of admission, and all seats back
of these will be sold at 50 cents without
reserve. Go early and secure your seats.
