Mercer as prescription druggist. A meeting of members of the Chemi cal Engine company of the Sumpter Pirc department is called for tomorrow night at the city hall. T. R. Necdham, an old newspaper edi tor and former publisher of the Alaska Searchlight at Juneau, is here to acquaint himself with the district. The Misses l.utle and Flossie l:arns worth, of Heppner, were the guests of Postmaster Kaliler ana wife for a week, returning home last Thursday. A. Walker, a former broker of Repub lic, Washington, has come here to go Into business. He says there will be a mighty rush Iroin that district to Sumpter this spring. N. T.
