About 400 people visited the Straw berry fair at Lebanon yesterday, and all report a successful fair and a big day. Three carloads of Albanians went on the morning train and anoth er big crowd on the noon train, and more than a score of automobiles car ried local people to Lebanon during the tlay. The fair this year is a very success ful one. There is a good display of big, perfect strawberries, and a won derful display of choice flowers in the strawberry pavilion also won a great deal uf favorable comment from the visitors. I Mere was a nig parade of decorated automobiles in the fore noon, and good music throughout the day, and a number of amusement features furnished plenty of attrac tions for the visitors. There was an immense crowd in Lebanon from all parts of the sur rounding country, and the Albany people who visited the fair all return ed enthusiastic in their praise of the success of the event, and of the hos pitality of the Lebanon people. The hearty spirit of friendly co-operation which now animates the two cities was manifest throughout the day in various ways. At the afternoon program of the fair, J. b. Van Winkle represented Al bany and gave a splendid address, lie commented on the many improve ments which are being made both in Albany and Lebanon, and assured the people of the Strawberry City ot Al bany's interest in Lebanon's growth and development. All of the Albany people boosted the big Oregon Kleelric celebration which is to be held oil July Fourth, and reported that the people of Leb anon arc heartily interested in mak ing it a great success. Practically nil of the people of that part uf the coun ty arc planning to come here and help us celebrate this event.
