On behalf of the Oregon Agricul tural College Dean Bexell represent ed the president and expressed a most friendly greeting on behalf of his ins titution. He stated that "an institu tion should not be judged by its size but by its influence for good," and that the individual in the activities of life must answer three questions to succeed: What do you know? What can you do? and Who are you? Dr. Clark, president of Pacific Col lege spoke in the ' usual friendly trend of those who proceeded him anr! said that "Now is the time when the Christian College has come into its own" and made a special plea that the Alumni members become a stronger ; factor in the support of their respec tive colleges. Dr. Frank Lock Griffin, of Reed Col lege, Portland, expressed the felicita tions of his institution in a truly fra ternal spirit and stated that "our in terests are identical in many ways." He emphasized the fact that the size of the school is no factor and used the illustration that in large schools the 3) "students go through the school and in small schools the school goes 3 through the student." City Superintendent Q. W. Boet- ticher, of Albany spoke in the inter- est and importance of the Christian E College and recommended the home g3 high school students to attend the 1 home college. 3 . Prof. Chas. E. Whittlesey represent- gi ed Philomath College and snoke in g glowing terms of President Williams, E for the position to which he had been III called. Prof. F. G. ' Percy Young, an Alumnus member and one of the Arm supporters of the college, reported the many letters and dispatches from various friends and organizations in the United States, including a dispatch from former pjresident H.
