Out of 512 men examined by the Local Examination Board of the 1917 chiss only 41! were rejected for phys ical defects according to figures com piled b County Clerk Rufus Russell. This is about 8.4 per cent or an av erage of 1 out of every 12 While in other parts of the United States the average is 1 out of every five rejected for physical defects.
