Kane at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wilhelra in Har risburg on Tuesday evening. Guests from several other towns were also ' present. The spacious Lome and lawn were beautifully decorated for the oc casion in patriotic colors. An inter esting musical program was given, in cluding two well-rendered vocal solos by Father Kane. Informal addresses were made. Dr. Dale of llarrisburg paying a glowing tribute to the manv Stirling qualities of the honored guvst. Rev. Father Kane left Wednesday morning for Camp Zachary Taylor, Louisville, Ky. The younger crowd wrioh has been lately stepping into the limelight with numerous social functions of charm ing appointments, was entertained this week on Thursday evening at the Hotel Albany at a gay little dancing party, over which Miss Marjorie Dal ey presided. Punch was served to the dancers during the evening, and at a later hour light refreshments wire served. At an attractively simple home wed ding this week on Monday, Miss Marv Francis. The home of the bridc'i par ents wus the scene of this wedding, which took pine at 2 o'clock, Rev. Al byn Esson performing the ceremony. Only the intimate friends and rela tives of the bride were guests at this time. The bride was becomingly gown ed in a dress of brown taffeta. Mrs. Paul is a well-known and popular young lady of Alluiny, where she has spent most of her life. A very unique anil cleverly-planned affair was the "Children's" party giv en Friday evening by Miss Virginia Tomlinson. The guests came attired as little girls. The Tomlinson home had iK'en transformed in a most novel way, into a pluyhquae, with toys, dolls, blocks, books and games appropriate fur the occasion. A dainty lunch was the closing feature of the jolly eve ning. A social time was enjoyed Friday evening by the B. Y. P. U. of the Bap tist church. The motif of the evening was to assist in the drive for getting new memliers. The evening was brought to a close when light re freshments were served. An enjoyable affair of the week was a ramping trip taken by the Kaca jawea Campfire Girls to the Illume farm near Conser.
