Elks Christmas The Elks this year on Christmas afternoon about 2 o'clock will give their annual offering to the children of the city, when they will have open doors for awhile, and the youngsters of Albany will he presented with pres ents in keeping with the season. Then they will be taken to the movies for some special pictures. Home from Monmouth The Misses Nimnio, of Monmouth, have arrived home for the holiday va cation. A Brewer's Farewell A Seattle Brewing Co. wants to run a big advertisement announcing its farewell. The price is double the reg ular rate. Perhaps has some surplus stock it is desired to move quickly before Washington becomes torrid. Death of J. M. Zumalt James Monroe Zuial'ilt died last night at his home in the eastern sub urbs of the city, at the age of 55 years and 10 months. He recently came from Washington state here to make his home, having a brother who resides here. He was born in Missou ri. He leaves a wife and several chil dren. The funeral will occur tomor row, tlie date not being arranged. Examining for Insanity Earl White, charged with insanity by A. M. Smith, is being examined this afternoon by Drs. W. II. Davis and H.
