Everywhere one hears the comment that the exposition and fair which losed on Saturday night was a grand success, .and that it was one of the most snotessful undertakings that has ever been pulled off in this section oi tne valley. As one looked over the different exhibits it was hard to decide which one should be placed first The exhibit in the Rhodes building, as well as the city of Albany. It was a surprise to everyone to see what was accomplished in so short a time. This was made .possible only because of the general cooperation of he people of this community and the surrounding country. The farmers and manufacturers deserve a large amount of the credit that is due for the fine exhibits that "were made these particular lines. The exposition demonstrated what can be done by cooperation in our own community. The board would take this oppor tunity to thank each and every om who had a part in bringing about these grand achievements, and to express to them their heartiest appreciation of the efforts that ther have put forth towards accomplishing these magnifi cent results. The board is especially grateful to the superintendents of the various departments who have done so much towards making the fair a success. The board would also ex press its appreciation to the local press, to tht Agricultural College and to the two railroad companies for the assistance they have rendered in this ndertaking. With the same cooperation on the part of the people of this county and surrounding counties, the Central Willamette Valley Exposition and Fair should in another year be made (in -the- words of Governor Withy- tain la the state of Oregon.'"' Tht ef fort of the past few weeks hat den onttrtted what can bt dont by co operation. l nt exposition . board expects to send checks in payment of all prein iumt within the next ten days. Fur ther announcements along this line will be made in the local papers. OFFICIAL BOARD. City Treasurer's Notice.
