Albany got a bump yesterday in the shooting tournament between the teams from Independence. Corvallis and the locals. Independence won , with a score of 205 out of a possible 250, the high five men counting on each team. Two Salem men. Orville Wilson and Mark Siddall, attended, and made fair scores of 42 birds each, but they were the only ones from the Capital City. High scores of the diy were made by Johnson, Independence, with 46; Rickard. Corvallis.. second with 45. and Baltimore third with 42. Ballack, Albany; Zierolf, Corvallis; Fenlon. Independence, and Alexander, Inde perilence. tied for fourth with 41 each. There were 35 men in all at the shoot. The results were a disappointment as far as Albany was concerned. Some of the best shots fell down woefully, and those usually making scores of 4a or better went down to 34. A return match will be held in In dependence May 30, and the Albany shooters hope to retrieve their lost laurels. In this meet full teams will be represented from Salem and the three cities taking part yesterday.
