About Albany daily democrat. (Albany, Or.) 1888-192? | View Entire Issue (April 19, 1892)
A curious feature of the discussion of the tariff now going on in congress is the al most total silence of the republicans. They have done little or nothing moro than move to adjourn or to demand roll-calls. It is not hecausc they are in a minority, for it iras much the same in the liecd congress. They did not defend the McKinlcybill then! "they passed it with as little, discussion as possible and they are still holding to the same policy of discussing it as little as pos sible. The shifting of the political kaleidoscope from day to day shows how worso than foolish it is to try to select in February or even in April the best man to nominate for president in June. A It ia a big privilege to be able L to get what you want when la vou go to a grocery store. Allen K '.Brothers keep such a variety N that they can always accom B modate their customers. Thia is the opinion of a man who keeps a drug store, sells all medicines, comes in direct contact with the patients and their families, and knows better than anyone else how remedies sail, and what true merit they have.
