A letter received today from the Klamuth Indian Agency ay tlmt the weather there has been fine but rather cold lately, but Is now getting warmer. The snow is about six inches deep,and the thermometer ha marked as low as 12 degrees below zero. The lake ha frozen over and they now have splendid hkating on a clear stretch of ice about 30 miles long by from g to iB mile wide. In the hoarding school they now have 51 girl andboyH, Mrs Sloun, formerly of Albany, is one of the principal employes in the school. Enoch Sloan ha been very busy for the past three month running the sawmill, cutting out lumber for the Indians. The new ajjent has tnkn charge of the agency and the employees all seem to think that he will no well, lhe Indians arc fairly well fixed this winter, as they have con bioerable hay cud not much stock.
