One man says the Street Railway Company will have lome fun next winter keepingthe water and mud oS the track. Another man says he wants to see them at work on the Oregon Pacific Railroad first and then he'll believe it. A First street man says there are lots of di vorces that never get into the Courts. They just grin and ber It. A man whs is around a good deal says that some o( Albany's mammas would bug their eyes out if they could see how their daughters carry on ; he's heard language from ruby lips that shock sensitive nerves. A neigh bor says he would like to kick some of these old fellows who own plenty of prop erty i but will not pay a cent towards any enterprise unless thev can see in actual figures the advantage it will be to them selves. The Man About Town is Informed by .a man on the inside that the Oregon Pacific will now keep right on kicking up the dirt and laying down rails until Boise City Is reached. So mote it be. The road has gone so far under many disadvantages. The truth is the management here has been promised that money would be forthcom ing ; but when the men presented their checks the Mew York office had failed to fill the tin box, hence numerous suits. etcetera. John had just been to church. and we can easily see from the tone of the" letter 'that our friends very naturally are longing for the hallowed associations ot the best city in the Willamette valley, and we expect to see them back here some brleht dav. A prominent director of the Albany Street R R Co to-day was rushing In quite a lively manner to catch a street cai, and was just mounting the rear step, when a well known dog mistaking his in tentions, sprang nimbly behind him, caught him by the thigh of his pant legs and ripped about a toot ot valuable cloth from the aforesaid trowsers. The director abandoned the ride and hastened sidewavs to his home in the Third w ard for another suit of clothes. The owner of the dog re quested us to state that he was enjoying a trip to the mountains. Condoles with Him. After the train wreck at this city' an Astoria paper in naming the participants of the wrecking mentioned erroneously of course, Thos Froman as one of the men. - Mr Froman has just received a letter from a man named Forman, in Texas, in which the writer suggests a relationship and condoies with him in his misfortune.
