Can Strekt Cars. Last evening the Albany Street R R Co. let the contract (or building two street cors to A J Anslyn, ef thi city, at $9;o a car. The enn will be 18 feet long, with 12 feet standing room, and will be built in the most improved fashion, with as fine finish as any of east ern manufacture. When finished they will speak for Albany In loud terms, and the letting of such an important contract to an Albany firm shows that our citizens propose to support home industries, a fact that gees a long ways toward building up a community. Mr Anslyn has had exper ience In this line of work and understands the business thoroughly. The cars will be as good as any in Oregon. The Miksixo Boat. "Harrison Bris tow returned from a trip to Florence Wednesday. He reports that a life boat of the wrecked steamer Alaskan was found on the beach, south of Florence, with three holes stove in her. It is probably the miss ing boat, as the current vould have carried the boat that was abandoned at Cape rer petua north instead of south. Hit proves te be the missing boat, the seamen who left the Alaskan in her have found a watery grave. Wreckage was coming ashore near Florence.
