nor, Henry Peterson, Albert He mm and George
W Lee, the oarsmen, ai rived in Seattle this
morning, and have already begun trninhg for
the race which is to take place on Lake Vash
ington on Memorial day. The course will be
three miles and turn. It is expected that Jacob
Gaudaur will join tho company. O'Conner
says that the course on Lake Washingtonjis the
best he ever saw, and that he expects the race
to be one of the greatest aquatic events of the
year.

Xlw York, May 20. Steve Brodic, the
bridge jumper, jumped over the Passaic falls
this morning and came out without damage.
For the past three months Brodie has enter
tained the idea that it was necessary, in order
to perfect his record as a jumper, to rival the
late Sam Patch, by jumping from some fthe
places from which the latter jumped. About
March 1 Urouie went to Rochester to jump
from the Gencssee falls, w here Patch lost his
ife, but was dissuaded, as the water was onlv
live feet deep.
