BEATTIE CONFESSED. Four hours after Hr nry Clay Beattie was electrocuted at Baltimore yester day, Kev. Benjamin Dennis made public his written confession of guilt. He de clared that he was at peace with God, but all his conduct indicated differently. It is said he wanted to impress the world that he had an iron nerva. and he took a pride in the widespread notoriety his case had secured for him. His death ends a very striking case. made much of by the press, because of the wealth of his father, and the great effort made to save his life.
