Robert L. Smith, a pioneer resident
of Linn county, died at the homo of a
son, at Mountain View, Benton county,
on Thursday, at the age of over 70
years. He resided near Oakville for a
good many years, a man of integrity
and worth. He was an old member
of the Grange. He leaves five sonc,
residing in different parts of the North
west and one daughter.
The funeral will be held Sunday un
der the auspices of the Grange.
