AFTER CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.
A bill will be introduced in the next
legislature asking for the abolishment
of capital punishment in Oregon. It
is a very important one and should be
considered thoroughly before being
passed. It is said the bill may pos
sibly go through as there is quite a
strong sentiment in favor of it among
the members ot tne coming legisla
ture. It should not pass, though, un-
