At a meeting held at the Alco Club rooms last night tbe street fair propos ition of tbe Jabours,after discussion waa ordered left to the committe on com merce, witnout any responsibility of the club. Binger Hermaun for eighteen or twenty years were present at tbe Alco Club parlors last evening tan informal reception tendered him. Mr. Hermann spoke pleasantly of his former relationship to Albany people, how he assisted in nominating James Elkins for secretary of state thirtv three years ago, and how eighteen years ago he received the hearty support of the Linn oouuty delegates, and then ol the bright prospects ol Oregon in the luture. He was followed by Hon. J. K Weath erford, Mayor Davis, Capt. Winn, 0 O Hogue and Postmaster Train.
