I T. J. AM DEMON, County Attestor, Burned to Death. ' From the Lebanon E. A : A very said affair occurred one mile weBt ot Sodaville ihursday eveulng. Tbe house on the Hill place, occupied by Henry Vollatedt and family, burned down, and the cight-year-o d eon of Mr. j Yollstkdt was consumed in tbe flames. The fire occurred between 4 and 51 o'clock, while Mr. Vollatedt was out Borne diBtance at work and Mrs. Voll-I stedt was out milk'nir. Mrs, Vollsteot is almost deaf and did not notice the tire nntil tbe bouse was enveloped in flames. She ran to tbe house and endeavored to rescue her son, wbo was in invalid and unable to get out himself, but she was uunble lo reach him. She was badly burned about tbe faoe and arms, but would probably bave continued ber at tempts until fatally burned bad not a neighbor reached the scene and got ber out 01 tne house, Mr. Vollstedt arrived soon afterward, but tbe boy and every thing la the bouse were entirely con sumed. Mrs. VollBtedt wis taken to the home of a neiubbor. Mr. Weatcott. and Dr. J. O. Booth was ealled to attend ber. He reports that she will recover. The Mormons.
