A New Boat Landing
Through the enterprise of tbo water
front business men in the vicinity of
Odd Fellows' dock, a magnificent land
ing has been arranged And turned over
to the steamer Alett. A new slip was
put in, a largo And substantial milk
home built on the wharf and a tele
phone Installed. Tbe pier has been
cleared and otherwise opened op, and
the approaches to tbo wharf are solidly
fenced with a new set of railings.
With tho establishment of this new
and coinmodluf landing for the local

should be at once perceptible Tbe
wharf is a large and roomy one, of easy
access for wagons and drays of all kinds
and is especially convenient for the
steamboat men and shippers.
There is no reason why more of our
local boats should not accept the free of
fer of this excellent landing.
