The Happy Hoppers, Happy Hoers, and Home Econo m ics Clubs were represented. The forty present enjoyed gam es, a taffy pull, and sing' ing accom panied by M rs.E .J. Butterfield at the piano. The Rogue River C ivic Club m et January 23rd for a social m eeting. Mrs. H azel W hite, president, presided. Fourteen members a t t ended, and two guests, Mrs. M abel ’'rooks and Mrs. Harold Wehren who spoke on the March of Dimes Drive. M rs.C .B . Willoughby was reported ill. HAPPY HANDY HELPERS W IS E AND B U D G E T W IS E CHOOSE The Happy Handy Helpers sewing club met a t the home of their leader, Mrs.Ferd Jones on Friday afternoon January 23. Officers elected were; President. Marilyn Hixon; Vice - presldent, Sandra Densmore; Secretary, G ail C ollins; News Reporter, Sharron Flem ing;Song leader, Daleen C lem ents;P ro- gram co m m ittee , Nancy Whiten m er and Beverly Todd. V ice-president Sandra Densmore w ill be yell leader, and assist with record books. The lesson on use of the sewing m achine was given by the leader, and the girls p ra c t ised sewing straight lines and turning corners. The next m eeting w ill have the lesson on head scarves and w ill be held January 30, after school a t the hom e of Mrs Ferd Jones. Popcorn was served as re freshments.
