Any one planning to build or remodel should get the proper permit at the' city hall before work is started. Per mission and permits are required to move a building into or through the city of Central Point. The building Committee of the city council has been authorized to en- force the city building code in the Juture, This code calls for cement or stone foundation, brick flues, etc., and that floor plans for any new- building must be submitted to the building committee and approved by them before a permit Is granted. Anyone interested in building or repair« should call at the city hall and get the correct Information be- fore starting work. Plans Complete For Community Picnic The committees in charge of the proposed community picnic to be held on Labor Day (Sept. 1) in Tou- velle Park on Rogue River have about completed their plans for the event. Lee Pinkham is chairman of the general committee, All service organizations, churches, lodges and the general public are expected to take part. The dinner will lie served at the picnic grounds near the Mili tary Bridge. The old-fashioned "pot-luck" din- )ier will be served cafeteria style. Each family attending are asked to bring cooked foods, salads, cakes, etc., to be placed on the communit)' table. Nineteen new members were regis tered, including Mayor Scott and the city council, who were signed up as honorary members. It was announced that the Eagles of Medford have invited all Central Point T-A Clltb members to attend a teen-age dance which is to bo held in the Y.M.C.A. building. Friday, August 22. Transportation will be avaiable at the City Hall at 8 o’clock for all those Interested In attending, according to Melvin Kelly, club president.
