(Bing) Francis, for the past three and one half years Jackson County 4-H Club agent, has tender ci his resignation to the Oregon State college extension service to ac cept the position of superintendent of production at Wing's Cloverhill Registered Guernsey Farm. Mr. Rupp is the business represent ative for the plaster, cement a"d bricker masons union. He is chair man of the committee that furnished all the playground equipment for the laborers trailer camps, also serving on a committee with Mr. Mayfield and Mr. Carpenter trying to do some thing never accomplished before, in amusement and comforts for the la borers' wives and families. Mr. Rupp has been all the way up the coast from San Diego to Camp White and was so well pleased with our country here and the little town of Central Point that he Imught the Purkeyplle property. His labor office has been moved from the Liberty building in Medford to his home. They meet every two weeks. Recently friends gathered at the Rupp home to cele brate Mrs. Rupp's birthday, Sixty guests, bringing refreshments and many lovely gifts, appeared at : the home, The boys in the union pre- sented her with a washing machine. Mrs. Prentice, with members of her acoordian band, played during the evening. Mrs. Rupp has been in the office with her husband during th'* summer. left for Corpus Christy to join her husband who is a navy cook early l-t July. She writes that the weath -r is very hot. Mrs. Lewis is a daught r of Mr. Dawson of Medford and a granddaughter of Mrs. Dias. ■
