CENTRAL POINT AMERICAN « 1 H * I » & VOLUME XIII CENTRAL POINT. OREGON. --- - -------- -— Musing's«^* Grange to Stage Birthday Party B y the Editor Had one of the most interesting experiences of our long and varied career this week. A lady whom we had met recently In our official ca pacity and who had learned that we had spent part of our young man hood chasing around the Black Hills of Wyoming and South Dakota, brought to our office a copy of the Belle Fourche Bee, a weekly news- paper publlshel in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, which was, when we knew it, one of the old-time cattle town* on the eastern 1 border of th > Hills and was a wild old burg when the fall shipping season was on. ♦ + + Now It so happens that the writer was foreman-printer-devil of the Bee way back In the Gay Nineties and of course was interested In the .stories of the early days of the town as printed in this 50th anniversary «-dltlon of that paper. And we were very glad to see that It had survived through all these years, in spite of the handicap of having such old- time employees as ourself. ' Mrs. Ruth Bathiany. president of the Oregon Finance Officers' Asso ciation. today extended an Invitation to the members of governing bodies, finance officers and budget commit tees of all local governmental unite of Jackson and Josephine counties to attend a meeting of that group to be held in the courthouse aduitor- iunt in Medford.
