C. Robnett former well known business man of this city. Mr. Robnett passed away August 5th, after a lingering illness. Isom Clemens Robnett was born October 22, 1869, at Shedu, uegon. He came to Central Point as a young man and clerked for some time for his uncle, F. L. Cranflll, who also owned a store in Medford. Later Mr. Robnett purchased an interest In the local store. This store was at one time the largest and busiest store In Southern Oregon. Follow ing the death many years ago of Mr. Cranflll, liis widow and Mr. Robnett continued the business for some time finally selling out to B. P. Theiss. Mr. Robnett built the house now owned by Q. E. Fox, where he lived until moving to Portland in 1920. Mr. Robnett married Edna L. Gibson of this city, who survives him Also one son, George, who Is married and lives in Berkeley, Calif. The deceased was a wonderful friend to all children, a devoted husband and father, aud as a friend h wa* staunch and true. Stability and magnanimity were characteris tics ot him. He leaves many friends in Central Point who were saddened by his passing. Nephew of Local Man is Killed Mr. and Mrs. R. Rossi left Sat urday for Sacramento to visit rela tive*. Saturday evening a telegram arrived for them from Taft, Calif., saying that their nephew, Dr. Harry Hawkins had been killed in an auto accident. He was on his vacation with his two sons. No further word Ims been received from them. Dr. Hawkins was a very successful doc tor and a graduate from the Mayo Clinic at Rochester Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rossi are in charge of the Rossi Motel. W. R. C. to Hold Picnic in Park The W.R.C. met Saturday for their regular meeting. Plans were made to hold their annual picnic dinner at the park Tuesday, August 22 at 6:30 o'clock. This dinner is a potlucck dinner for members and their Immediate families. Each family Is to bring their own ser vices. Ice cream will be served by the Relief Corps. Notice The Civic Club Is to furnish cro quet sets for the new croquet ground* on Pine street.
