mount now being shown at the
Vining theater is Paris, a new-
background has been established.
There is no apache atmosnhi ts
no gay night life, no fashionable
resorts. The story is one of spark
ling humor with a wax works mu
seum as the center of Parisian
activities for Clara and her lead-
man, Charles Rogers,
The plot also carries one to a
massive chateau into an exclusive
perfume shop, along the business
streets of Paris down quaint
French roads and through foreign
gardens.
The story is of an American
girl who is forced to manipulate
the breaking of a traditional
French betrothal between Rogers
and his fiancee, who he does not
love, before he and Miss Bow can
marry. It is a comedy chuck full
of laughs and dramatic thrills.

scheme that • was emphasized
throughout the evening's enter
tainment. The room being beauti
fully and artistically decorated
with huge baskets of long stem

crepe paper flowers intermixed
with graceful sword ferns,
brought form Coos county for the
express purpose. The top of the
stage was aglow with intertwined
flowers and ferns, the color
scheme being further enhanced
by the colorful program cards
and favors. Miss Marie Davies in
charge of the decoration commit

outcome of her efforts.
The evening’s first feature was
the grand march which was led
by Kenneth Hobson, president of
the junior class and Madge Mit

the affair was furnished by Dom
Provost’s orchestra, and lunch
was served to the dancers through

Four noanal girls dressed in

Wilma Howard, E tta Mathers,
Dorothy Schadler and Evelyn

During the last waltz numbers
red hnd green spotlights were
turned on the dancers lending a
weird air of enchantment to the
scene.

Tin cans nailed to the rim of a wagon wheel

From this crude start the red blooded men of
the western power companies developed the

and lead the way in hydro-electric power genera

service at decreasing costs to consumers.
