Prom Proves Real E event — Close to three hun dred people comprised of the Normal school facutly and the normal students with their es corts and ladies helped to mark the second annual prom given by jhe junior class in the S. O. N. S. auditorium Saturday, February 11, as the most distinctive event of the school year. \ Eats Sauerkraut Now, Feel Years Younger against a background of yellow, orange and green, the color scheme that • was emphasized throughout the evening's enter tainment. The room being beauti fully and artistically decorated with huge baskets of long stem med yellow shaded to orange crepe paper flowers intermixed with graceful sword ferns, brought form Coos county for the express purpose. The top of the stage was aglow with intertwined flowers and ferns, the color scheme being further enhanced by the colorful program cards and favors. Miss Marie Davies in charge of the decoration commit tee, received much praise for the outcome of her efforts. The evening’s first feature was the grand march which was led by Kenneth Hobson, president of the junior class and Madge Mit chell, vice president. Music for the affair was furnished by Dom Provost’s orchestra, and lunch was served to the dancers through out the evening. Four noanal girls dressed in black and white pierrot and pier- ette costumes presented a feature dance for the pleasure of those present, those delighting were: Wilma Howard, E tta Mathers, Dorothy Schadler and Evelyn Mangold. During the last waltz numbers red hnd green spotlights were turned on the dancers lending a weird air of enchantment to the scene. Carter of this city.
