George Kramer and son Foss have returned from a two weeks vacation in McMinnville, Mon moth and Newport. Foss says they were having such a wonderful time that they might have remain ed longer but the strong winds and heavy rains drove them home. This kind o f weather is very un usual for Newport this time o f the year and the old timers prophesy an early winter. Mr. and Mrs. W ill Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Meyer and daugh ter Thelma have returned home after visiting friends and relatives in Seattle, Portland and Eugene. While in Seattle they visited Mr. and Mrs. Yordon Mrs. Yordon was Hattie Hodges who is a niece o f Mrs. Meyer and who worked for a number o f years fo r Enders store in the 5 and 10 cent depart ment. They visited Mrs. Arthur Hicks in Eugene. Mrs. Hicks will be remembered as Bernice Meyer. She is the daughter o f Mr. and Mrs. W ill Meyer. The journey was made by motor. Ira.
