Mike Snider, who has been em ployed in Marshfield for some time, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Court Snider. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Stanley of Central Point motored to Portland last week. Mrs. Stanley returned this week and Mr. Stanley will re main for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Emett Scott and daughters, Elizabeth and Ethelyn, spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Hansen in Medford. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Thompson ar rived in Central Point Wednesday morning from Geneva, 111., and will spend the winter here, visiting Mrs. Thompson’s mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Scott, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson started for Oregon Nov. 2, and have been visiting rela tives and friends at different places along the way. Mr. Isaacson, o f the Central Point State Bank presented us with one of their 1927 calendars that is a work of art The title picture is: “ In the Garden of Dreams,” from the original painting of Chester K. Van Mortwick. The garden of dre.ims picture in calendar form is fit for a parlor. Dolls and Toys Intiate Five Members Along with calendar time and holiday greeting time, we were pre sented with a neat and attractive advertising thermometer, by the Cen tral Point Feed store. Thanks Mr. Richardson, we can now acertain whether or not it is too cold or too hot for our office work. Today it registers 48 degrees— just right for winter. Philip Hamrick made a trip to Klamath Falls with "Billy” Steven son and Everett Scott Saturday night, returning Sunday morning with a load of potatoes for Grants Jean Brown, small daughter of Pass merchants.. Mr. and Mrs. O. Brown, who has been ill seriously for some time with A baby has been named Bob after pneumonia, is reported to be im its mother’s hair. We presume these proving. Arthur Weiss and family, recently of Cresawell, O., arrived Sunday to make their home here. Mr. Weiss is interested in the clay products plant which will soon begin operations under the new management. ----------- * ---------- E n joy Christmas Opening. Saturday proved a big day for Wm. Henry Harrison Chapter No. 27, W. R. C. The occasion was that of the regular meeting of the corps, at which three important branches of the work of the organization were covered. Following the opening cere monies,, five candidates were in ducted into the organization with a ceremony that was both interesting and impressive. Following the initia tion, o ffic e » were elected for theen- suing year as follows: Emma Glea son (reelected), president; Mary Ca- tey, S.V.; Mrs. Ed Farrah.J.V.; Mrs Harry DuBuque, treasurer; Mrs. Jesse Richardson, guard; Eva Smith, conductor. At the conclusion of the election refreshments were served which consisted o f sanhwiches, cake and coffee. + ---------- ---------- Several from Central Point were over to Medford Monday night to Captor O f Baar mingle with the street crowds in Dewey Hill caught a cub brown helping to celebrate the merchants bear in one of his traps Saturday Christmas season opening.
