dren, Sacramento, California
are visiting at the home of
Sargeant Harper's grandparents,
M r. and Mrs. W illia m Harper,
Shady Cove.
Sargeant Harper is stationed

Jaoan and Turkey were
included in his tours of duty

Yosemite National Park
was the vacationers first stop
with their trailer.
The weather being warmer
than anticipated, they stayed
only two days. Fire Falls was
one of the highlights of this
stop.
Los Angeles and San Diego,
California was the next stop
where they stayed several days
visiting relatives.
Then back to Fossil, O egon,
by way of highway t9 7 , to
attend the 75th Anniversary
Celebration.

stop.
The vacationers next travel­
ed to Hot Point, Oregon in the
extreme northeastern part of
the state.

Snake River, giving them a
m agnificient view of the river.
Out of Boise, Idaho they
visited the Crater of the Moon,
an unbelievable lava rock
formation, where many trees
remain to be seen as they were
spent six days sightseeing in
Yellowstone Park. Highlight
of this visit was a spectacular
view of an eruption of Bee
H ive geyser. They were able
to get pictures of this
phenomena, the second erup­
tion this year.
The geyser, being very
unpredictable, gives very
little advance warning of its

Before returning to Oregon,
the travelers visited the Grand
