Read These Rules Carefully
The campaign te rrito ry Will be divided into two districts.
Those workers living in C entra! Point w ill be in D istrict One.
Workers living outside the city lim its w ill be in District Two
Workers may sell subserptions in any district, these divisions
being made only to assure fairness in awarding the prizes
Grand prize w ill be a warded to the worker in either district
finishing the campaign with the highest vote score
The woiker in each district finishing the campaign with the
most votes in his own district after the grand prize award has
been made w ill receive a b is tric t Capital Prize. Other prizes
w ill be awarded to the next highest workers in any district, by
choice
No employee or near relative of any employee of The New
Era is eligible to enter the campaign. Correspondent’s families
w ill be allowed to compete Children under 16 years must have
written consent of their parents or guardian who w ill be expect­
ed to help the children.
In event of a tie each tying candidate w ill be given a prize
identical in value
A bonus of 2,000 votes w ill be given each candidate turning
in 3 or more subscription* I either old or new» on the opening
day of the campaign, and an additional 3,000 extra votes w ill be
given to the candidate turning in the most subscription- These
same bonus votes w ill be given for the next 3 report days
To assure absolute fairness the campaign w ill be brought to
a close under the sealed ballot box system. A ll subscriptions
and'money collected the last three days of the campaign must
be in the scaled ballot box when the campaign closes
Wednesdays and Saturdays will be known aa report days
ami all candidates are positively required to Kami in all their
subscriptions on each of the report days.
Votes w ill be issued on both new and old subscriptions.
Credit for extra votes w ill be issued at the convenience of the
campaign manager.
Workers collecting more than one subscription r<>quired to
qualify his nomination before the opening day w ill be barred
from the campaign Candidates Living outside the city may bring
or mail their Saturday’ s report on Monday and their Wednes­
day's reports on Thursday, except the last report which must
be In on the last day.

so many subscription- or so much money.

For the convenience of the boys and girls entering
the campaign, The New
office will be open
each evening until 8 p.m. starling today. Those who
wish to bring their parents in with them when they
sign up to work will thereby have an opportunity
to get in after the dinner hour. PARENTS ARE
INVITED TO COME TO THE OFFICE W ITH THEIR
YOUNGSTERS TO LEARN ALL THE DETAILS
OF THE CAMPAIGN.

Important Notice
Workers are not allowed to do any advance work
on the campaign before Saturday. And candidates
getting promises or soiling more than one sub
scription which they are allowed to bring with
their nomination blank will be disqualified from
working in the campaign. This is in fairness to all
candidates. Get your supplies today and be ready
for a good start Saturday morning.
You may sell one subscription, and bring
the money for it when you come to the
office with your entry blank any time
before Saturday. We will fill our your
first receipt and show you how to use
your receipt books.
