Let's get back to the 3 R's and have kids that go to school to learn to think for themselves. Please forgive me if I sound pessimistic. I know we have a fair number of dedicated people In the teaching profes sion that are doing a good Job and rebelling at the new teach ing practices. For each one of these dear people, we have two of the other extreme, I don't believe the majority of them are dellverately follow ing the new thought--but it is the way they have been taught and they are too career- minded, in many cases, to take inventory and find the faults of our education factor ies. We are not endorsing any candidate. Many of them are personally known to us. They are fine people. We still do not go along with their partic ular philosophies. Please ex ert your own best Judgment and remember, first of all, you are an American, a citizen of the United States, and It is your responsibility to Join in selecting fit peop le to shoulder the responsib ility of our government. It is being demonstrated that we have a serious problem in national and state depart^ ments, where, whether you want to beUeve it or not, the vile hand of communism lias contaminated the processes of democracy.
