A very POOR showing o f Citisens interest in their lo c a l government's w e lfa re . Those o f you who did not vote, do you realize what a privilege we have as citizens of these UWted States in being able to cast our votes and exercise our rights as citizens o f the Great Land under the Stars and Stripes - and what our young men are sacrificing their lives for in serving our country in this troubled old world of ours??????? Fifth St. has returned from Redmond - Powell Butte, Ore gon area after spending the holidays with relatives there. Mrs. Shide reports the roads arc not in the best of condi tion due to the winter storms that have descended upon us. Adrienne and Cameron Harrell, 406 S. Oregon S t ., having spent the holidays with grandparents in southern California, arrived home after a delay due to road conditions Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lyle E. Harrell. Mrs. George McUne and son, Ron, V alley Lane, re turned home this week after spending some tim e during the holidays with southern California relatives. David Pittock, Oregon State University student, was hom e for the holidays, at his parent’s hom e, Mr. and Mrs. W illiam Pittock, Humbug Creek, lower Applegate area and Bob and Bill Piete, sons o f the Howard P iete’s, Apple- gate-P rovolt, have returned to their studies at Oregon T ech n ical Institute, Klamath Falls, after vacationing over tiie holidays at hom e.
